  OR they can announce a Splatoon spinoff on a random Tuesday morning, that's cool too. Part of me is kicking myself for not talking about spinoff possibilities in this video, but I would have never predicted Splatoon Raiders in a million years anyways. Of course I still stand by all my hopes for the next mainline entry, but a Deep Cut focused single player spin off is crazy exciting even if it pushes back 4 by a bit

  I think they can get away with doing 4 idols if they were set of two rival idol groups, kinda similar to the vibe Suffer No Fools was giving. I think it would be a cool way to bring back the tournament style Splatfests from Splatoon 2!

  As someone who’s played Splatoon since 2015, yeah I want a soft reboot for the franchise. I played Splatoon 1 and 2 religiously but only put like 10 hours into Splatoon 3, probably because it felt like it didn’t add much. Hoping Splatoon 4 feels extremely fresh and reinvigorates my love for the franchise

  I'm making a prediction that there will be 2 idol duos that will compete for dominance, and for each splatfest, there will be 2 teams, each represented by one of the duos.

  I love how you point out that you would like to see features like limited weapon set customizability despite not being a pro player. In my opinion it is so important to have more casuals vocalize their wishes for games, because youtubers doing that usually are very invested in their games, perfectly familiar with the meta and know all balance patches by heart. Pro gamers make up like 10-20% of the community at best I would guess. Ultimately, the game should be fun for everyone who bought it :)

  i couldn’t agree more about wanting a reboot/refresh for splatoon 4. I love the continuity between the first three games and i wasn’t disappointed with splatoon 3 or anything, but i played less of it than i thought i would, probably because it was similar to splatoon 2 in so many ways. I think splatoon 4 has some serious opportunity with the new mouse controls and the likely “past” theming, so i am waiting with bated breath to see what they cooked up. <br><br>fantastic vid as usual!!

  I 100% agree that if they don’t shake up the formula and implement modern matchmaking, I’m not gonna be excited for the next game. I hope the new horsepower and wifi6 make it better.

  Since Splatoon 3 is the last Splatoon game of inklings vs octarians saga, I think Splatoon 4 will have a new and fresh start with tropical/exotic environments, new species that&apos;s related to allies/heroes or foes/villains, more clothing options, playable idols (such as Squid Sisters, Off The Hook, and Deep Cut), new and original story mode that doesn&apos;t involve with octarians stealing the zapfish, new idols (boy and girl band idols), new side modes, customizable weapons, new splatfest-like events, glowy fingertips/toes, unique hairstyles for both inklings and Octolings (alongside with new species), unique clothing based off from Splatoon manga/dolls, better online servers, new and original maps, new Shifty Station-like stages during Splatfests, more story mode content, new and original enemies (including the main antagonist of Splatoon 4) that&apos;s alot more threatening and terrifying than octarians,and last but not least, bring back the collaborations for Splatoon 4 (such as amiibo, anime/manga, indie/AA game series, and indie animation series collaborations)!<br>Also, I think Splatoon 4 is going to release around 2027-2028.<br>I hope Nintendo decides to take notes from Marvel Rivals, Atlyss, and Lethal Company/REPO for Splatoon 4 in the future.

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QN-cDMflH60&amp;t=585">9:45</a> on the map design bit; as a high level comp player, we don’t love the state of map design but scaling the maps up really doesn’t fix the issue. The map design is too hallway-like where you reallt cannot move or flank at all. What we want is maps to return to their design philosophy of Splatoon 1 from August 2015 onward. Arguably the best stages in the series are Flounder Heights, Hammerhead Bridge, Mahi Mahi Resort, Museum d’Alfonsino, Ancho V Games, Piranha Pit, and the reworked Urchin Underpass. You have so many interesting ways to both move into the centre but also into the enemy spawn as well.<br><br>Effectively, we want maps that are much easier and more fun to move around on, as opposed to ones that restrict out movement. This benefits both the casual and competitive scene.

  Around <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QN-cDMflH60&amp;t=540">9:00</a> itd be interesting if the &quot;past&quot; aspect meant that they began developing new technology to explore their oceanic past! Idk if that would be incorporated in main gameplay or just the story though.
