  One thing about dating someone younger than you that I've learned is it just gives you more life and more energy as well.😊 Glad I took the leap of faith as well 🤗🙏🏽

  I've always been a saver ever since I was very young. I grew up making my own money by having paper routes, mowing yards, I even worked in tobacco fields. I had a passbook savings account when I was 14 years old. I've always lived below my means. I would work a lot of overtime during the winter and enjoy my summers. I heard a speech from Forbes of Forbes magazine when he said "The more money you have in the bank the more freedom you have." I got to retire at 62 and I am 72 now. I have always taken care of my health. I've been resistance training for over 53 years and it is like money in the bank.

  Yes savings is far more important than material items. You have to invest and not just save in your bank.  Poorer countries are often happier than Americans with far more. The truth is you don't need much to be happy. Freedom > materialism

  Your wife is champ. &nbsp;I have the champ Filipina wife and daughter in-law also. &nbsp;When we first met, I tried to resist also. &nbsp;It was futile and I can explain why.. &nbsp;Its hard to hold onto the doubts and scrutiny going when you get non-stop green flags. &nbsp;At one point, six weeks into the relationship, she was speaking my thoughts in my words, during dinner, on a very deep topic. &nbsp;It kept happening. &nbsp;What the heck? &nbsp;There it goes again? &nbsp;I would think something and she would say it. &nbsp;I realized that only a wife could do that and I knew at that moment it was her. My head was swimming with emotions contemplating the change, God&apos;s sense of humor sending me my wife from the opposite side of the planet, recalling that I prayed for &quot;just a nice girl&quot;..simple, nice girl...no crazies. &nbsp;Its all I&apos;m asking. &nbsp;Nice yes, but simple? &nbsp;Its good of course. &nbsp;Similar enough to be compatible and different enough to be non stop interesting.<br><br>A year later, we took a lengthy compatibility test, offered by our church. &nbsp;Our paster was supposed to meet with us and counsel us on our incompatibilities. We had had a smooth relationship up to that point and wondered if the counseling could change things. &nbsp; While waiting for the verdict with some dread, he merely said that there were no incompatibilities and no material to console us on. &nbsp;I pointed out it was only a 98%. &nbsp;So what about the 2%? &nbsp;Incompatibility right. &nbsp;He responded that you were more open to domestic responsibilities where she saw that as her domain. &nbsp;Eh, fighting over the privilege to do house choirs. &nbsp;I think I see what you mean. &nbsp;Ok, honey, I&apos;m fine with it. &nbsp;Lets not have that ruin it all. &nbsp;We had a good laugh.
