  Imagine an alternate ending where Bowser beats Mario and you play as Bowser for the rest of the main story. So you get to see his reaction to what the legendary treasure really is, but he&apos;s not gonna let his Peachy Princess get possessed like that, and therefore, The Bowz then (albeit hesitantly) beats the tar out of the Shadow Queen. It ends with Mario coming in...and Peach thanking <b>Mario</b> for saving her.<br><br>Also, imagine the Shadow Queen as voiced by Karl Heisenberg.

  The implication that Beldam is too transphobic to use the clearly superior name from the original translation just because it&apos;s feminine is kind of a wild thing I really didn&apos;t expect.

  I remeber hearing a lot of discussion about how Doopliss doesnt really even use the Crystal Star. &nbsp;He is just... there.<br><br>My head-canon is that he is using the Ruby Star to augment his cloning and transformation abilities. &nbsp;I never played 64, so I dont know the species to well, but my understanding is that Dooplighosts can only use their power on themselves to transform into a clone of the target.<br><br>Not only can Doopliss forcibly transform other people, but he doesnt just clone the target with his power, he assumes their identity to the point that the target can no longer claim to be themselves in any meaningful fashion. &nbsp; And those powers are afforded to him by the Ruby Star enhancing his transformation and cloning powers.

  There was always something that creeped me out about doopliss turning into mario that I never realized until recently. Doopliss as Mario has round eyes instead of oval and his idle animation leans downward instead of upward. It always gave me this uncanny valley feeling and now I know why. Such subtle changes but so effective.
