  I've never seen The Shield, but it's something that, even without knowing he was in the show, I immediately clocked Walton Goggins' likeness even through the blocky PS2 graphics

  I remember picking up PS2 The Shield at a local video rental back in the day, not knowing English and not understanding half of the things that was happening. I wasn&apos;t even aware that the TV show existed until now.<br><br>I just knew that The Thing from the Fantastic Four movies was a cop now and that was enough for me to try.

  It&apos;s great and refreshing to see serious, thoughtful video essays on games considered bad<br>It&apos;s easier to think deeply about important stuff starting from a smart piece of art, but it&apos;s harder and sometimes even more interesting doing so from a more flawed piece of art, where analyzing what went wrong and what, against all odds, went right, is the name of the game<br>Great video as always!

  Nuanced and valuable critiques here. I put this video on as something to fill the air while exercising and ended up just sitting dead focused on it almost the entire way through. Excellent vid looking forward to what I find as I peruse your channel. Cheers!

  The Shield is incredible - in a bit of a shocking upset, Chiklis won a Best Actor Emmy in its first season, helping to boost American cable TV original shows and usher in the era of &apos;Peak TV&apos; that eventually brought Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Fargo &nbsp;etc.<br><br>Kinda glad I didn&apos;t know the game existed until Mind Pulp did a video that I saw last month, or I mighta played it back then and tried to excuse its crappiness out of loyalty to the show.

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7e91C5vAck&amp;t=523">8:43</a> Except even Judge Dredd: Dredd Vs Death did this way better than the Shield, considering they just flat out tell you during the tutorial that yeah, if you get to be too cruel or careless, the other officers will be more than happy to drop you.

  Huh...I remember getting a pirated copy of this game on a whim because I am a fan of the show and when I finished it, I legit thought it was corrupted because of how short it was

  I absolutely loved the ending of The Shield. It&apos;s one of the best endings of a show I can remember. I don&apos;t want to say why because spoilers. But I can&apos;t imagine a better fate for Mackey at the end.
