  The beautiful American apple has a massive rotten core of bad, trashy people that specialize in ruining everything good we have. There's nowhere to run that they won't pile in and destroy for the rest of us. It should be obvious by now, it's all by design, to squeeze us into their 15 minute cities and a controled "stack and pack" housing.

  So sad, it seems people trying to survive these days just cannot get a break no matter how hard they try.  I just do not know what people are supposed to do anymore.

  As a stones dealer I have lived in a 26’ Lazy Days RV for 20+ years. I traveled a circuit around the country, doing the big shows and visiting shops in between. The costs have gotten out of hand. Gas hovering between high $3-4+ per gallon, camping sites running $75-100 per night and retail customers enduring extremely low/slow sales. Thus, not purchasing as they used to. And yes, at 65 in a hard ridden body it has become extremely difficult to open hundreds of pounds of stones, unwrap them to show and rewrap/box them and load them back up to move on to the next shop appointment. I truly enjoyed living that life, however it has become too demanding for my body/health.

  I'm almost 10 years living in a vehicle,  rav 4 twice, minivan,  E150 conversation van , now a Hyundai Santa Fe. In the beginning I tried to show people what this lifestyle is like and I got trolled really bad. They said I was complaining. You have to do what's best for you. People jumped on vanlife to make money 💰 and found out that it was harder than it looked.  Many people are still out here. They are not showing you it on social media

  Good Work on the good and the bad..  I had a stroke at 60, and the Government gave me 800$ a month.  My wife divorced me and sold our homestead.  I spent 15 summers hiking all the high country in America, plus winters in Nepal, Thailand, and Europe when I had saved some.  When I was 75, I started looking for a home again, but in desert high enough to look like Nepal.  I found something off of 395 that was cheap and had a well.  Eight years later, I have a dog and a little garden. If you have a pension of some sort, you might want to get off the road and find a place to live some where cheap

  Rubber tramp rondy is now much smaller, fewer people stay in Quartzsite each year. The "movement" is slowing down. Freedom is a state of mind, whether you find it in a van, aprtment, or a house. Living in a vehicle does not have to be forever. Beware when buying land because there are restrictions and in many places you cannot camp on your own property for more than 2 weeks without a septic.

  I used to road trip vans in the 70s and 80s . &nbsp; Boy has stuff changed. &nbsp;I have a homemade cargo trailer camper looks pretty professional. , <br>Windows awning air-conditioning satellite TV with a full shower bathroom and a mini kitchen. &nbsp;<br> &nbsp; All the places that I used to go even 10 years ago have all been shut down, fenced off, and closed! &nbsp; &nbsp; <br> &nbsp; Full timers have even FLOCKED up going south for the winter now that I’m retired!

  Some of us can&apos;t quit van life. &nbsp; I&apos;m 73, on SS, and physically unable to work so I&apos;ll keep on truckin&apos; along and I will find ways to survive like this for as long as I can.

  If people cannot afford house living, i don&apos;t blame them living in their cars. They just have to keep the plane clean.
