I've probably heard this track more by watching reaction videos of the drum cam than listening to the album.

Master of poly-rhythms. I'm reminded of a joke I heard about Danny. People say he made a deal with the devil. No one knows what Danny got, but the devil got drum lessons.

My daughter is a classical musician (violin/piano/others) and she told me that at first she didn't like Pneuma compared to other Tool songs, saying it was "a bit too repetitive" but she listened to it again and decided she should analyze it as a "percussion concerto" and in that light it was "very very good". Whenever I can get my daughter to say any of "dad's music" is good, it's a win.

Drummer here. The time signatures, the drum fills, the percussion, the tuning of his snare … Danny is on another level.

22 year long drummer here. Danny can be summed up with the following words: skill, ability, creativity, precision, stamina, and greatness. For me, he’s the best living drummer.
