Tysm for translating this!!! Beat Black was such an interesting case of a racehorse, given that he'd never win a G1, or even place for another race again, after this. Yet, he was a brilliant Long Distance runner anyhow. Anecdotes from around this time noted that the team knew what they were up against, clearly, so they hyperfocused on the runaway style to make sure he had the best chance. Though he never shined beyond this, Shu Inubashi stayed with him for nearly all of his starts afterwards...what a curious tale. I've still been meaning to learn more, so this TL helps out a lot! I'll keep myself posted on your videos!
