As a person who is one minor inconvenience away from buying a large, floor loom, this was a reprieve for my savings account. A delight, as always, thank you!

'I can make this for half price with a $20,000 shop and 20 years experience'... You and I must watch the same YouTube videos😂

If you have two chairs and a table, you can flip the seats of the chairs upside down onto the top of the table and use the chair legs to wrap. Takes up my whole dinner table though 😅

I actually got into weaving because I found a nice standing loom at a thrift store for $30. When I looked it up, it was like $700 on their website o.O <br>Only done a few projects so far (cause it kills my back), but there's something addicting about seeing fabric being created by your own hands

I do backstrap weaving and I enjoyed watching you get frustrated because those things and more have happened to me and now I see this is part of the experience.

From a fellow low cost weaver, you did so well! You may want to move your 'backstrap' lower onto your hips so there is less tension on your spine. For finishing techniques, I usually do a hemstitch and fringe or a double folded hem - Iron on interfacing on the cut edge works well if you are planning on sewing with your weaving. You can also make a warping board from an Ikea pegboard (or a board with some nails). I hope you continue weaving!

I’m going to suggest that our library get a loom for folks to try out before they spend a lot of money for something they won’t like. If it’s in the ‘idea lab,’ they can have a few classes.

I feel like the accusatory "NOW what, laverne" perfectly sums up the feeling of trying to learn a new craft on the internet

are we all collectively learning to weave? I'm at the phase of looking for a frame
