Lithgow also had a electrolytic copper refinery, as a Lithgow child of the 60's and 70's the old steelworks and coal stage over the railway line that had access to the site was a great playground, I also did my Trade at the Small Arms Factory.

The Zig Zag Railway is still a fun railway to use to this day.<br><br>Every so often, they have a day where you can bring your dog with you.

Probably the only thing I think has been left out of this video is that Lithgow made all the rivets for the Sydney Harbour Bridge

Next up - nearby to Lithgow you have Glen Davis shake oil town and refinery, built for WW2, and another shale oil town Newness.<br><br>Each had interesting histories, but the Newness Shay railway is an excellent story in and of itself. <br><br>Good use of ai for a video of those type.

A very good job by the researcher, perhaps not so much by the AI voiceover. I started work as a trainee chemist in Port Kembla in mid 60's and was interested in noting the image of the old Lab. at 11.50 with some familiarities. I also met many workmates across the plant who had transferred from the central west region.
