  Honestly my biggest issue with the show is how much they want everything to be important to the past. Everyone of note is either pre-war, and connected to another pre-war character or factions. It screams like a fanfiction where the writer&apos;s OCs are the most important people to ever exist, when they would be far more compelling if they weren&apos;t.<br><br>For example, Cooper Howard, could&apos;ve been just a former actor who lived a life of decadence before the vault, losing his family from the vault in Necropolis and becoming a hardened bounty who due to slowly becoming feral and his time with Lucy starts to redeem himself before the end of his life. Instead he is the most important man to ever exist, whose very presence gets the attention of the smartest man in the universe because he somehow changed the outcome of the magic prediction software, oh and he is Vault Boy, and married to the head of Vault Tec, oh and his searching for his family despite having no reason to presume they are alive since he needs a motivation. Oh and he is like a super duper cowboy who can survive any wound, despite wolverine healing factors were never a thing.

  The moment they said that this was “canonical to the games” I lost it lmao.<br><br>I don’t trust any media let alone TV producers to make anything canon worthy, especially for a video game franchise. They have a habit of warping it and going away from the source material.<br><br>Publishers and developers may suck for making the worst decisions for their franchises, but TV/film adaptations mostly make even worse decisions.<br><br>In this case, it’s both.

  You know one thing I don&apos;t see talked about enough? The fallout show managed to make area 51 boring. It&apos;s already an intrinsically interesting location, and it could be genuinely have been one of the most interesting places to see in all of fallout. Yet the show made it into a warehouse out in the desert that has one singular alien corpse that is destroyed for a joke, and then a bunch of pre war historical artifacts for absolutely no reason.

They&apos;ve also set it up so that Lucy&apos;s birth happened the year <b>after</b> her mother died.<br><br><br>They also should&apos;ve blamed the Brotherhood of Steel, if they were going to blame anyone. The writers are clearly unaware of the fact the NCR was at war with the BoS, because they made sure to show a BoS member in power armor, at Shady Sands right after the nuke. Repeatedly, in the flashback with Maximus that they showed entirely too many times.
