Hello, just wanted to share that I’m a 21 year old girl and I’ve been watching for a while now. I have borderline personality disorder and had a rough childhood and so watching these aita videos from you help me to understand normal reactions to situations and help me better myself to not respond with anger and understand other people’s emotions. Thank you dusty and candy!!!

The guy who is choosing his niece over his GF, GF will come back from that trip a single woman. Those friends are gonna back her, comfort her, and encourage her to cut this guy loose.

I have had multiple birthday celebrations since I was a kid. My parents were both CPAs and my birthday is in the middle of tax season and often would be over spring break. My grandparents would take us somewhere for the break. We would celebrate before we left, on the birthday, and with friends when I got back. The niece might be thrilled to have multiple birthday celebrations.

Not only do most people work to get through grad school, it’s best if you work through grad school, either internships in your chosen field, in an on campus research lab or with a grad fellowship or with an outside employer. My daughter is currently combining a grad school fellowship, a research job in one of her prof’s lab, and summer internships. It’s not just paying her tuition. She’s already managed to become financially independent. She’s also gaining experience in her field and making valuable connections in the process which will be a huge leg up on launching her career when she finishes. Not enabling the entitlement is definitely the right decision here.

Milestone birthdays are super important. 30th is way more important and meaningful than 5

Anytime a"friend" of The opposite sex downgrades your partner is an automatic red flag on both their ends. He is allowing her to do so

I might be in the minority, but when I was in high school, I spent the night at my boyfriend’s house after graduation. We didn’t do anything inappropriate.

The birthday story around 22:00. I know some people remember before 6 but seriously 5 vs 30 is a big difference. Op has clearly made his decision, and if they do get married, I doubt his SO will ever take precedent.
