Hunting The NEW Map Is Going To Be Easy

Tracking is an art. Movies and tv shows capture it almost perfectly. Real hunters do it in the wild everyday. Special agencies, regular civilians with special interests, and even digital trackers are all working around the clock in different environments, and on different targets. All of these different types of trackers share one thing in common, and that is the need to maintain the target. This is exactly the same when hunting other survivors in the post apocalyptic DayZ. In most open world pvp games there are lots of open sightlines. From long roads, to high buildings, and open fields. You can almost always find a good spot to catch players. But these almost always end into deep buildings, tree lines, or other places that provide refuge, and give the hunters a challenge. Today I'm going to be exploring a map that mostly defies that. This map is called Takistan. It is very similar to the new map coming out called Nasdara. Both maps feature a desert environment with wide open hills and sightlines that make hiding difficult, and escaping pursuit almost impossible. Instead of chasing players through the desert, my goal today is to get a feel for what it's going to be like to hunt other survivors undetected, and wait for the perfect shot. Just like a real hunter would. Spotting survivors from a distance is going to be easy, but maintaining that distance as they navigate the map is going to be the real challenge.
