My gaming computer is running on an i7-7700K CPU. But, my daily driver is an lG Gram 17", Core 9 288V, 32GB, laptop running Linux Mint Cinnamon. Personally, I wish that MicroSlop would go bankrupt.

Been on Linux for a couple of years and I am constantly being genuinely surprised at how incredible it actually is. Anyone with any understanding of tech will do very well on Linux. Yes it's daunting at first, then after a week it switches to bliss. Best advice is spend a couple of days watching YouTube comparing popular distros, choose one and go for it. I chose arch but there is no reason not to choose something simpler. The way I put linux is it's like building your own pc as opposed to getting a pre built, and it's nowhere near as difficult to adjust to than you believe at first. Hope this gives someone the kick they need to make the switch. God speed.

Duh, you are completely mistaken; Microsoft isn't locking 400 million PCs—they are actually freeing them to Linux.
