  If you read your car’s manual, it says to turn on the recirculating button once the super hot air has been cooled. &nbsp;The regular button allows outside air to come through the air conditioner, get cooled, and then exit the car, pushing the super hot air out of the cabin. &nbsp;THEN the recirculating button is pushed, and the cooled air remains in the cabin, easing the load on the AC system. &nbsp;Rolling down a rear window also gives the super hot air somewhere to escape. &nbsp;Roll the window up, let the air cool, and push the button.

  I keep my ac on recirculating air cuz I can’t handle the exhaust from other cars coming in. Instant migraine.

  Mercifully, I drive a manual transmission car with a proper mechanical parking brake. It does NOT have one of these stupid stop/start features. It does NOT have a &apos;lane assist&apos; feature. It does NOT have a &apos;touch-screen.&apos; It does NOT have sat-nav. It does NOT have heated seats. And that&apos;s what I like - a simple, easy and straightforward to maintain car which almost any mechanic can fix.

  Re the recirc: &nbsp;if it’s 80 out and 120 in the car, cool using the outside air then switch to recirc when the inside is less than 80.
