Disney Employees, What Secrets Are You Legally NOT Suppose To Tell Us?

To the people who think the stories are fake: They have you sign contracts (Nondisclosure Agreements or NDAs) not to tell these ‘company secrets’ for a certain amount of time, but these contracts do expire. Just because staff are ‘not legally allowed to tell anyone’ doesn’t mean they can’t come back AFTER the NDA expires and talk about this stuff. So I think most of them are likely to be true, but you never know with the more bizarre ones.

Shout out to the Disneyland Paris employee dressed as a pumpkin head scarecrow on October 30th 2006 who thought they'd found a dead child slumped on a table, and started shaking me in a panic screaming "Ça va?! Madamoiselle! ÇA VA!?!!" and sighed in relief when I woke up. I was very ill (glandular fever), I was there with a school group where the adults didn't give a fuck, and I passed out face down on a table for 3 hours. A lady had gone past with her children 4 times, realised I hadn't moved, and altered the pumpkin man who was doing jump scares around the corner to a pale, unmoving, not breathing (I have very shallow breathing) girl, who has been slumped over for 3 hours. I was brought to sit at the table with the chaperones so they couldn't ignore me. They still did, but they woke me up when it got dark. That poor employee. I can still remember the fear in his voice thinking he found a dead 12 year old. Sorry dude! Hope it didn't scar you for life 😅

My dad was the very first person in the very first Main Street Electrical Parade. He worked for Disney from the late 60’s until early 80’s. He has a bunch of crazy stories and pictures.

That shade of green must be the same one that my school was painted on

I want to wander around Disney with a cut glass pitcher of ice water and a matching goblet, just so I can offer royalty appropriate drinks to cast members. I'd get kicked out, but hydration is important.

#3: Let's just start with this fact: Looking at basically ANYTHING related to Avatar makes me physically sick. Remember that.

Dude, someone died while making the World of Avatar at Animal Kingdom?

Nuclear Take: this made me smile

The cast should have bodyguards that take action immediately if someone is even little inappropriate

I'm not a Disney Employuee, but one of the Face Characters was my best friend thru the 1990s. There was a coupla times she came home with red eyes and just cried on my shoulder for awhile. After she calmed down she told me that she had to deal with a child who was gonna pass away soon and she had to keep "The Dream" bfor that person. I was happy she considered me strong enough to cry to.

Worked at Magic Kingdom in late 80's. These stories were tame.

I only know the performers make sure to distract guests while puddles of vomit get cleaned up and being a performer at Disney World is awful. It shouldn't be a surprise that thriving corporate amusement parks underpay and overwork employees, but it's no less outrageous.

We got to experience two magic moments at Disney! I have a guide dog and I saw a pin of the Mandalorian that says “Where I go, he goes”. I went up to purchase it and the cast member gave it to me for free and made us matching buttons that said “cutest couple”. On one of our other vacation days we were in the confectionary in MK waiting out the fireworks (way too crowded). A cast member approached and gave us a Mickey cake pop thing.

I wish these vast members who truly want to see people have a great experience were the ones in charge of the company.

Precious magic kingdom park greeter here! I do not speak for the brand or the company. I was working for the company when the guest jumped at the contemporary….it was a very sad and tense day for us cast members as guests kept bringing it up and asking questions. Please remember to be kind to cast members. Most of us are just tired college kids
