DISCLAIMER: Video game mechanics are difficult to perfectly adapt to a realistic setting. Some of you correctly pointed out that the in-game Rock Drake is actually much larger than what I stated in this video. Ark’s T. rex is about 23.5 meters (92 ft) long, which would make the Rock Drake similar in length. However, in a more grounded world like Pandora, a creature designed for climbing, jumping, and gliding wouldn't realistically function at such a massive size. To create a more plausible creature, I scaled the Rock Drake based on the size of a real T. rex.

That being said, I appreciate those of you who took the time to research and provide feedback! I always strive to do justice to the creatures I cover and enjoy getting to be a part of these sort of discussions.

8:00 Rock drakes would ABSOLUTELY be able to handle creatures much larger than themselves, figuring that they are biologically adapted for such hunting. One of the primary food sources and rivals that rock drakes consistently entangle with being reapers; Titanic super predators with armored skin, acid blood and easily doubling to quadrupling the size of a drake. And in the worst case scenario rock drakes do exhibit pack mentality especially when in a single flock like down at the den. Drakes would be extremely capable of taking down things twice its size and would have a fair shot even against things Three to four times that as that is what they are BUILT to do.

Another thing to remember is what the Rock Drake eats: Nameless and Reapers. I don't think it's too much of a stretch to assume the drakes would hunt viper wolves and banshees, and probably would be able to go toe to toe with a thanator

In the Ark the T.Rex has an official size of 23.5 metres and the Spinosaurus 27.6 metres, the Rock Drake is a little longer than the T.Rex, but it has no official size, so it's around 27-28 metres.

Now give me Astrodelphis in Pandora.

I wonder how the Navi would react to something that clearly has no wings, but can float freely in the air as if swimming. Not to mention the oceanic Navi seeing a clearly marine creature flying, and since Astrodelphis can still swim just as well as normal dolphins, and are very social and curious, I feel like the Ocean Navi would have a new prefered Mount.

Ok I didn't know it was possible to make the rock drake even cooler, but turning it into a freaking railgun certainly did it for me

Given the Rock Drake's don't have a kuru, the tentacle thingy basically all large animals on Pandora have, I can absolutely see Navi seeing them as demons. Great predatory beings unable to connect to Eywa who suddenly appeared one day. They can't hear the mother, they can't link with Navi, and they are very territorial. Those things are demons. So any Navi who did manage to tame one, would kinda be like a wizard binding a devil to their command. Not sure if that makes them a hero or villian in the history books

The tremor drake is basically ARK's Rock Drake and Basilisk into one creature and I'm here for it.

Funnily enough, element has two "official" names, one being element, and by technicality the second being called edmundium, as named by Sir edmund rockwell
