Is P&O Arvia Really That Bad? Our Honest Thoughts After 2 Weeks Onboard!

  Having just &nbsp;spent 14 nights on this stunning cruise-ship &nbsp;we enjoyed every &nbsp;single hour &nbsp;of it,best ship we have been on for several years.<br>WELL DONE TO EVERY MEMBER OF STAFF

  Arvia is beautiful ship with many dining options included. Downsides &amp; there are quite a few. 1) If you wanted a sun bed in decent position on sea days unless you got one by 7 am you had no chance not enough deck space especially for a Caribbean cruise. 2) The atrium is more like grand central station than a nice place for a quiet drink too many entertainment activities going on at the same time. 3) the sky dome had some interesting entertainment but unless you got there 1 hour before you couldn’t get a seat. 4) we like to be spontaneous when doing evening entertainment but you have to book in advance for theatre shows &amp; other events 5) The main dining room is very noisy not what we are used to on other ships. 6) Bars always crowded no where to get a quiet drink 7) having to book &amp; wait for seating in dining venues 8) Whoever designed the cabins had never cruised in their life. No where for the ladies to hang long ball gowns, no draw space &amp; access ltd. 9) Just too big &amp; overcrowded will never do another on Arvia &amp; possibly not Iona either. I will end on positives though staff were brilliant, food was very good &amp; green &amp; co something special, many options for lunch including an excellent chippy. It may suit new cruisers but not seasoned cruisers who are used to a more relaxed environment. Needless to say not for us.

  Just done 2 weeks in the med on arvia. No complaints at all, had an amazing holiday. Staff were fantastic too!

  Cruise ships are basically a floating hotel, so the only frustration for me was finding a sun-lounger, which proved impossible after 07:30am on sea days. The lifts on Arvia can also be frustrating but I tried to use the stairs wherever practical. The food was fine in all the restaurants I tried and preferred breakfast in the MDR every morning.

  Awesome ship, just came off it on Sunday. Was no complaints at all, even at maximum capacity over half term.

  We did the Caribbean cruise Februrary last year - almost put off by some of the reviews - absolutely loved it!

  We did Arvia in Aug 23, was an amazing holiday round the med. No issues. I&apos;m disabled and we had an accessorized room<br> My only gripe at times were people just walking in front of me on the lifts as I was in a wheelchair, but that wasn&apos;t the ship or the staff, that was rude people. I loved the food, the fast food through the day by the pool was just burgers fries, pizzas etc but was ok. We saw le Voix at the limelight club which you had to book which was lovely. Through the day there is an adult only pool too which we used all the time. Entertainment was good too. Balcony in our room was perfect and films on tv were free.

  Was on Arvia’s second cruise, Easter 2023, with my wife and daughters. We all had a brilliant time. Back on board next October for the Caribbean, which ewe are really looking forward to.
