  Just done my am2s and I didn't do the r1 rn figure of 8 test as never been told to do it even when I was at college. Probably failed testing id think gonna have to go back and redo it. 😢

  If you take the plastic off the two connectors you are using to join R1 and R2 and use the crocodile clips instead of the probes you will get a slightly better reading.<br>Excellent explanation of the RFC test.

  i am building &nbsp;an am2 in my &nbsp;shed looking &nbsp;for parts to &nbsp;build the rig &nbsp;i &nbsp; have a 3 phase dist board what &nbsp;i am looking &nbsp;for is a thre phase starter &nbsp;and the socket trunking &nbsp;and the haeting system &nbsp;components can &nbsp;send &nbsp;a list of parts were to &nbsp;get them &nbsp;also web links &nbsp;frm gary &nbsp;wales

  Hello sir when we do ring final test step 2 and step 3 do we need to put consumer unit cover back on or leave it off after cross connection of live and neutral in step2 and live and cpc in step3 when we go to each socket

  when testing at teach socket and using the 3 way leads with the plug top on the end you get with testers would you need to null it before testing at each socket or not ?

  Hi , I’ve got my AM2 Coming up in a month , is it Necessary to Null the Leads before every test ?, I get if the Tester turns off , but if Doing r1, rn, r2 test doing all of them consecutively is this necessary ?

  Why have you piggy backed the earth and neutral lead’s? &nbsp;You only need to use two leads when do this test, secondly you don’t have to null the lead’s you can deduct the resistance of the lead’s from your test result .
