  Bro everytime i play paladin that 65% chance to hit in the beginning kills me. Ive literally missed 6 times in a row.

  Oath of the Ancient Paladin combined with the healer trio set only requires one level in Paladin to fully AoE buff your whole team with bless and blade ward for a bonus action. And it goes off a second time to whoever is around on turn two — so potentially three turns or bless/bw. Absolutely be best level 1 healer dip in the whole game as it refreshes on short rest and gives heavy armor and all weapon proficiencies. Super underrated and one of the best level 1 dips behind maybe only Hex Blade.

  I like Oath of the ancients paladin a lot due to it&apos;s defensive nature with it&apos;s auras. Make myself the Frontline and allow a glass canon like a blade singer to run right next to you with little to no fear.

  I only start with vengance paladins because the other oaths are so easy to break. Tried ancients once and I felt like I was just a money machine to the oathbreaker knight. Like why does he need the money, it&apos;s not like he needs to pay rent since &nbsp;he bums out in my camp.

  Oath of the Crown had me at spirit guardians honestly. I&apos;ve also run it in tabletop and had a lot of fun with it. They&apos;re not necessarily the strongest combatant, but they&apos;re excellent tanks; the true &quot;come at me bro&quot; paladin subclass (which is good because their tenants leave little room for backing down from a fight).

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PEdG9df6do4&amp;t=988">16:28</a> Moonbeam can affect enemies that otherwise have sanctuary against anything a Paladin can do. In these cases, you&apos;ll be glad to have it. Also, Moonbeam is an AoE, which can be helpful for a class that doesn&apos;t have many. That is also why your Smite comparison is off the mark.

  Crown is insane for bardadin or going 11 and 1 hexblade with spirit guardians/radiant orb/reverb gear is crazy. you can literally put 6 orbs and prone something in one turn, rub to the next and boom. if you group with black hole basically everything has -10 to their attack rolls and you just win every fight. <br><br>also ancients is a great 1lv dip for a on heal buffer. getting bless/blade ward/deathward on back to back turns is nice and you get it back on short rest
