I worked at a campsite a couple of years ago and the golf buggies there had a three way switch. Forward-Off-Reverse as well as a key. The batteries fetch a fair bit for scrap as you will have found out they are quite heavy.

ladys mile holiday park, never been but I think ive been past it many times in Dawlish Warren, i stayed in the hotel down the rd, lovely part of the world.

A 24kWh Nissan e-nv200 would be perfect for running stuff around your yard - pre 2015 ones are MOT exempt so road legal when you need it to be with little effort. They’re getting cheap now too because newer vans are much more capable and they’re £345 to tax (not an issue if you’re using it off road all the time) 👀
