When you enter the ocean you place yourself in the food chain. If this worries you then don't go in the ocean.

1:22 “neither man did anything wrong” .. I’d say the guy swimming with a group of seals did something very wrong

as a massachusetts resident, if you’re swimming in wellfleet and truro you’re asking to get eaten. those are two spots you should never swim in. RIP, but that was 100% avoidable.

I grew up in Ventura. Whenever you saw seals in the water, you knew it was time to get out.

Great white sharks have gotten a bad rap in the past, but they're really incredible and misunderstood predators with a role vital to the ecosystem. Don't fear but respect and admire them.

I'm gonna sound like a broken record here, but..... We are visitors to open ocean and it's inhabitants. Not the other way around. Respect it, nuture it, conserve it. Great white sharks were here first before humans.

Swimming in open ocean full of seals is terrifying by itself. Luckily in the Mediterranean we have much safer waters. There are still great white sharks here, but are very few and spread out. They still grow quite large and it is theorized that they also prey on dolphins.

Many of those sharks in the video are sand tiger sharks... But anyway, Great Whites aren't really dangerous per se, just (surprise!) avoid swimming very close to their preferred prey. Great Whites in the Mediterranean mainly feed on tuna or other big fish, by the way.

sharks aren't just "making mistakes" every time they have an encounter with a human. Sometimes, they are investigating and are not interested. Other times they are defending either their hunting grounds or maybe even their pupping grounds. And yes, sometimes, a shark will predate. This makes sense.
