"I was a dog and you were a rat.. here come the cats"

Something I want to point out is that while yes, cats hunt rats and they're known for it, and dogs are known to hunt cats- that DOESN'T mean the dog is protecting the rat. Because dogs ALSO hunt rats.

My interpretation is that the singer is saying "I'm just as much of a threat as what/who I chased away from you/protected you from"

I don't know if I'm interpreting it right, but I think the lyric "I was dog and you were a rat, here come the cats" is so interesting!!! The person singing is not threatened bc dogs are usually larger and stronger than cats, but the person they're singing to IS in danger bc they're a rat that cats hunt!!! I love it

I’m so happy Waitress is starting to get featured in animations. Guys, please start exploring this band’s music more!! Not only will you be getting good music, but you’ll be supporting an underrated artist! :)
