As everyone knows, to launch a boat you must christen it with a bottle of champagne. To achieve this, Max plants a vineyard and establishes a glassworks in the hollow of a large tree. He gather silica from the sandy banks of the stream and sifting it until he has a sufficient supply. Next he burns of the impurities in a furnace he made out of a power drill and several pieces of aluminum foil he found on the forest floor.

I've never been so mesmerized by something that so directly points out that I am a talentless do-nothing, in the grand scheme of things. Max is like Paul Bunyan, Bob Villa and Ally McBeal all rolled up into one self sufficient super being... And he looks so young

This kind of thing was a dream of mine as kid. Building a cabin on a river and a waterwheel to generate electricity. But my design was a car alternator that charged car batteries. Me and dad sailed around the South Pacific instead. I never built my cabin or waterwheel. This guys went so far beyond what my childhood dream was, it’s incredible! He’s probably a decent lawyer but what he really is, is that kid with the same dream I think most boys have. With his genius ingenuity and craftsmanship skills, he did it. <br>So cool to watch. What amazes me is the ingenuity of humans in the past who didn't have modern tools like drills, chainsaws, screws, batteries, etc. Still, Max is actually a "Jack" of all trades.
