  The heartbreak in this song is 100% real. ABBA consisted of two married couples. The Winner Takes It All was written by one of the husbands, and sung by his wife who he was in the middle of divorcing.

  Of course Agnetha's voice is the star of the show. But like all Abba songs, the arrangement is perfect. Not just the harmonies but the instrumentation, the piano, perfect timing. Abba's songs really are so well crafted.

  Agnetha's voice is one of the clearest and strongest I've ever heard.   Wow.   Great composition, great song from the past.

  It was her ex-husband, Bjorn, who wrote this song and had her to sing it after their divorce. During an interview in a scandinavian show in 2014, he was asked was it hard for him and her to do so. He commented that more than hard, it was a cleansing of all the emotions for both. This was Agnetha's favourite ABBA songs I believe, it feel deeply personal.

  You can't match those voices.Other artists who tried to cover Abba songs expressed their astonishment about the difficulty and the hidden detailed construction and all the hard work in them that surfaced up while  "deconstructing" them.Despite their deceptive simplicity they have a majestic  unbeatable complication.Such was their musical labyrinth  that when the Mamma Mia thing was in the making  ...Benny and Bjorn had to revisit their original masters and "tear them apart" in little pieces in order to remember excactly how these 2 had created their own songs and  all those magical details.Just my respect.

  Pure voice.... no auto tunes. Abba and BoneyM were ruled the music in 80's but they still touch every vaine in your heart

  This song was undeniably Agnetha's best vocal solo performance EVER. The fact she was able sing those lyrics transmitting so many emotions while those lyrics hit so much close to home for her was nothing short of LEGENDARY. Her delivery of the lyrics were iconic.

  ABBA are fantastic, the BBC made a documentary called "The joy of ABBA", it is or used to be on Youtube. It is very good.

  When I fell in love with ABBA, I was 10 years old. I didn't know English, but I understood every ABBA song they said and sang, because you could feel the meaning in both the music and the lyrics, and I cried every time! And now, more than 45 years have passed, I still listen and cry!
