  I did this flight 2 years ago, it's just unbelievable, the scenery is stunning,  I stayed overnight in the hostel in Castlebay,  local bus picks you up from the airport and takes you back, fantastic service, it truly is unique, that beach behind the airport is beautiful 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

  Great video Dom with magic memories for me but bitter / sweet!! The day I flew there in November 2017 as I was boarding DHC6 at GLA got a phone call to say my mum had passed away but decided to carry on as she would have wanted me to... ❤❤❤

  My favourite Hebridean island is Vatersay which is connected to Barra with a causeway. If you ever go back to Barra, I highly recommend a  journey to Vatersay. You won't find lots of shops or anything like that but you will find some stunning beaches - my favourite is the one that faces the Atlantic.

  My granny was from Barra and my mum and all her siblings, spent the war years on Barra, because of the blitz on Greenock <br><br>Shamed to say I haven’t been to Barra yet and definitely, one hundred percent, going by plane 😊

  Had a holiday on Barra with aim to fly from the beach and my flight was cancelled with 15 minutes to go due to low cloud. &nbsp; It was the only flight cancelled that week so be prepared for disappointment as it arrives without notice
