  Jeweler here. 18k GOLD DOES NOT TARNISH! Also they definitely are gaslighting her. At the repair shop i work at, if a customer points out an issue, even if its so minuscule we dont see it, we STILL will polish it/ replate it/ adjust it. Again, 18k gold does not tarnish. Its either not 18k or its plated. And if it is plated, they didnt even bother to plate it well enough to last the few weeks she had it. <br>Also,<br>Malachite is one of the worst stones for everyday wear, especially on the hands/ wrists. Malachite reacts with water, so it will loose its shine over time and start to look weird. Also, good luck getting a malachite piece repaired. Its extremely sensitive to heat, and its very fragile. So not only can it not be soldered near the malachite, but removing the malachite to do the repair pretty much guarantees a broken stone. These bracelets are so clearly meant for the ultra rich who treat them like costume jewelry. Dont waste your money

  Lotion and perfume will hurt pearls and soft stones but it shouldn&apos;t be affecting 18k gold even if it was merely 18k heavy gold electroplate.

  The saddest thing is that $6,000 would easily get you an amazing, one-of-a-kind jewellery piece in 18k gold from a small, independent jeweller. You could have a piece designed exactly how you want it, with exactly the features, colour, stone, finish you want, for the same price.<br><br>Vapid, materialistic people buy brand name jewellery like this.<br>Rich people buy investment pieces that they know will hold value.

  I think we’re forgetting that whilst what she bought is overpriced and expensive it is basically their fast fashion offering. She is not the type of consumer they are most concerned with and was treated accordingly. These bracelets are like Gucci logo belts or t-shirts with the Chanel CC- their suckers products.<br><br>For the money she could have bought something great at an artisan jeweller and become the type of client they go out of their way for.
