The actress that played Trunchbull was the awful aunt that Harry blew up in The Prison of Azkaban. Justice!

Mara Wilson was actually really nervous about dancing on the table, so Danny Devito got the crew to dance behind the camera with her.

<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3FD0c7rt1M&t=833">13:53</a> funny part is that she IS Harry Potters aunt in the 3rd movie 😂

I never got it that Matilda's brother was so red and sweaty in the car at the beginning because his parents left him in there while she gave birth...

its even funnier knowing that, behind the scenes, the actress playing Principal Trunchbull is actually a really sweet person and the kids and fellow actors loved working with her. she's just SO good at playing this character.

The fact that she said to have Harry potter blow her up before she even saw her is the best. Same actress, same terrible personality. 😂

Sad fact, Danny took care of Mara while her mother was terminally ill in hospital. He got a copy of the movie before it was released so her mother could see it before her passing.

I always laugh at the idea of them trying to avoid extradition by moving to Guam …a us territory

The mean monster characters were played by such sweet human beings.

Danny was the director, the dad, AND the narrator! He was working himself to the bone.
