  A shame that Amy only heard the short version of the song.  I think she'd very much enjoy the full "Concerto for a Rainy Day" that ends with the long version.

  It's unforgivable that the glorious ending with its beautiful piano arpeggios and closing strings was truncated. Whoever created that video should be ashamed of themselves.

  I love this song!  I quoted the line "hey you with the pretty face, welcome to the human race" the first time I met my grandson, a 28 week preemie weighing 1 lb 9 oz (.71 kg)...I could nearly cover his entire body with my hand!  He is now a rambunctious 5 year old, who absolutely loves music!  Everything is a drum, or a piano, or a guitar.

  The end “computer voice” actually says “Please turn Me over” because it was the last song on that side of the album.

  I consider Mr. Blue Sky to be the happiest song ever written.  You cant help but smile listening to it

  A fun bit of trivia: the final vocoder line says "Please turn me over." "Concerto for a Rainy Day" was the end of the third of four sides on the 2-disc vinyl set of Out of the Blue. (I saw ELO here in Nashville right after the release of the album. The band descended out of the ceiling on a stage shaped like their jukebox logo.)
