  You can see one today in front of the Army Museum in Stockholm. You don't even need to pay the admittance fee to see the tank in the courtyard (but you should, because the museum is well worth the price of admission).

  A fantastic machine. A hydrolic marvel, no turret, fast, crew of three, agile, gas turbine, fast reloading, rear automatic empty shell ejector, extremely low profile and...an integrated plow! A bit costly though, mainly due to the hydrolics. It would be very interesting if they decided to revive the project with today's tech.

  Given his study of prior tank kills, the obvious success of the German Stug III series and some similar Soviet tanks ought to be clear.  Whitman one of the top German tank aces got killed in a Tiger tank; but most of his killls were from a Stug III.  Hence the Swedish S tank shouldn't have surprised anyone.

  A weapon used for 30 years but never in actual combat is actually a very good record considering that the Cold War was all about Deterrents. War Games are not just about training and strategy; they are watched by the enemy and can be excellent psychological warfare material. The 103 doing so well against normal tanks surely got back to the Soviets.

  He wasn't laughed at. The decision to make a turret-less tank was made after studies found that the turret was the weakest point in a tank.

  I WAS DRIVING THE  STRIDSVAGN S IN 1970!! I WAS THE REVERS DRIVER, AND THE RADIO OPERATOR!! THIS TANK COULD SHOOT A BOTTLE 1650 METERS, AND THE TANK COULD ON 20 MINUTES GO IN THE WATER WITH NO PROBLEM! S 103  COULD GO 90 KILOMETER/ MIL ! 103 COULD DIG THEMSELVES DOWN 😂😂😂
