Say what you will about his enemies — Yul Brynner changed Hollywood forever. The man owned every scene he stepped into.

He's the only man that looks better bald than with hair, imo. Loved him in the King and I movie.

He sat a couple of  tables near me in a restaurant in Atlanta in the 70’s. We had just watched The King and I on stage. Nearly fainted when he walked in. His voice was magnificent and unintentionally boomed as he talked with his friend. I’ll never forget. So handsome in all black of course.

In The Ten Commandments, Brynner looked exactly like one of those Egyptian pharoah statues. He really was magnificent.

When I saw Yul Brynner's commercial, the one he left after his death, I decided it was time for me to quit smoking too.  He was larger than life, and I thought, if tobacco can kill him, it could kill me too.  So I stopped on my 35th birthday, in 1986, and have never touched one since!  RIP Yul!

Mr. Yul Brynner saved my father's life. Due to his PSAs about not smoking, it was a huge reason why my father quit in the 1980s. And last week was his 74th birthday and he's healthier than I am (and I'm 52) Rest in Peace...

I remember the day Yul Brynner passed away.  I was walking through the living room when it was announced.  I stopped short and began to weep for the passage of a king.

There's no denying Yul was one of the most recognizable faces in Hollywood.  I enjoyed his work, especially the Magnificent 7.  With all t hose male egos, i kept imagining what went on off camera.   Cheers❤❤❤

His drag appearance in The Magic Christian playing against Roman Polanski should be noted

My favorite story told by Christina Crawford. When a little girl the doorbell rang. Her mother Joan Crawford was upstairs not dressed. She answered the door and there stood Yul Brenner there dressed as the King from THE KING AND I . He was there to "VISIT" her mother!
