  I am a 67-year-old grandma that grew up with three brothers and cousins that built race cars and repaired engines on the family farm. I was a mechanic in the army in the 80s. I will admit that now I have to watch videos on all the new gadgets they have on cars... I absolutely loved yours

  Always wear safety glasses when doing any fluid change. When the transmission fluid has been splash in your face by the wind, you could have oil in yours eyes.

  50 years in automotive here. &nbsp;1. &nbsp;I like to loosen the oil filter on my Camry V6 while the engine is cold. &nbsp;I loosen the filter just enough to where I know it&apos;ll spin off easier, then partially tighten it. &nbsp;Then I run the engine to get it warm for the oil change. &nbsp;<br>When I go to remove the, now scalding hot filter, it loosens again much more easily.<br>2. &nbsp;A good way NOT to forget to refill your engine with oil, is to place the new bottles of oil on the driver&apos;s seat.

  I think you should consider investing in a few fluid transfer hand pumps at harbor freight. They&apos;re only about $7 each and include plenty of tubing. Use for sucking out brake fluid, transmission fluid, power steering fluid, etc. You can also use to refill, but I would use a dedicated pump for that fluid when refilling.

  Chevrolet&apos;s owner&apos;s manual recommends changing the transmission fluid every 45,000 miles for severe usage, which applies to most driving conditions. &nbsp;I paid about $250 earlier this year to a shop that does a full transmission fluid replacement, and that seems to be a reasonable price.

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Otm3HChL4w8&amp;t=1718">28:38</a> trust me, if it&apos;s an older vehicle you should pull the washer fluid pump out of the washer fluid reservoir and allow all that fluid to forcefully gush out. A ton of crud will come out with it. Then filter the fluid and put it back in. If you don&apos;t you could just end up plugging your washer fluid tubes.
