  And let&apos;s add a warm thought for the camera crew, who hoofed it to the top probably carrying the same camping gear, <i>plus</i> all the camera equipment, running ahead, lagging behind and catching up, to get the perfect shots we&apos;re enjoying here. :-)

  I&apos;m really happy that Miranda reminded Pam that it&apos;s her first time backpacking when she was mentioning her weight. 🥰 People that are plus-sized are always thinking about how our weight limit us, forgetting that a thinner person could also find a similar situation challenging! A very wholesome moment. And also Pam, thank you for being brave enough to share your vulnerability ❤

  As someone who is both plus sized and outdoorsy (although I&apos;m more into canoeing/kayaking) it is nice to see some diversity from an outdoor company. &nbsp;Also, an encouraging and understanding companion makes all the difference in the tough moments!

  REI please take the popularity of this video as a sign that we want more plus size options! It&apos;s nearly impossible to find plus size hiking clothes that are ACTUALLY plus size, and when we do find them, they&apos;re marked up 200% from what standard sizes have to pay ($90 for a pair of shorts). There&apos;s a HUGE market for reasonably priced plus size hiking clothes!

  My favorite parts were seeing the specialness of your friendship. The joking, the nicknames, and your compassion for her when she became emotional. &nbsp;You can tell that your friendship is extremely special! I hope this is a new thing you two can share.

  I&apos;m so pleased I&apos;ve found this video. I&apos;m plus size hiker/mtbr in the UK. It&apos;s really hard getting kit here, and it&apos;s so nice seeing brands like Gregory and REI cater to bigger bodies. Most importantly, that you are supportive and accommodating friend, releasing Pam&apos;s worries and fears and helping her through it. I truly hope more people find this and it inspires friends with different bodies to do things like this together and not always be about how fast, how crazy the goal needs to be. Just having fun, enjoying nature and company.
