He sounds like a sound, dutiful and reasonable man.

I always enjoy reading about the parents of the more famous rulers, like it gives you perspective of who/what made that famous ruler the person they were.

I really enjoy the history of the Plantangenets. And People Profiles does a wonderful job in regard to documentaries about them. The Tudors get all the attention and I personally like the Plantangenet dynasty better. And I like the Anglo Saxon period too. Alfred the Great is another one of my favorite rulers of England.

Henry IV sounds like the best of leaders, always trying to do his best for everyone in the realm, not just himself.

I am so very touched by the thought of a priest telling a sick dying old man a white lie so that the man could die happier. It's actually very sweet.

Thanks! I truly enjoy your deep dives and I learn so many new things every time. As an American the history of England is so intricate and long! Sometimes I struggle to make certain I’ve got the right Richard and correct Henry! 🙄🤣Thank you for everything you do I look forward to your videos!

I found myself admiring him even more as I listened. From studying period of Richard II, I concluded that Bolingbroke was a dutiful, wise and enlightened king.

This video is my fav till now. Only cause I'm one of the few King Henry IV fans! What an understimated king and character almost like his father!... Cheers from México I love your channel and bios.! (Specially medieval ones)

Henry seemed to expose that the real problem wasn't the King, but the greedy nobles and church.
