  Laika is the studio that despite them having a short filmography currently, they have made arguably some of the best animated movies of this century imo.<br>You could argue some exceptions, but at least two or three of them are worth the title of some of the greatest.

  One of the problems for stop motion is that a lot of people think is a weird CGI. They don&apos;t know the concept of stop motion.

  Laika is the definition of &apos;Hands&apos; which is something AI will forever be trash at replicating. I really hope Wildwood succeeds, so there will be more stop motion animated films not only from Laika, but from Hollywood as well!

  Kubo is one of my favourite animated movies ever!! The plot, the animation, the music and the characters are all absolutely amazing. I feel like it’s not been talked about enough, seriously the quality is just unbelievable

  Laika is like one of the last stopmotion studios to exist. Their films feel like the old grimm fairytale come to life and the old dark animated films are reborn in a modern era.

  It&apos;s absolutely criminal that Laika films don&apos;t do well in the box office. Everything they make is somewhere between good and amazing, but they just can&apos;t seem to nail the marketing or something to get many folks in to actually see them, except for the folks who&apos;re already familiar their work and know that anything they do will be worth watching.

  In the age of AI and countless movie sequels it’s a relief to see real talent and originality.<br><br>You are right show up and support these movies that aren’t cash grabs and soulless business decisions.

  Honestly it&apos;s still nice to see a studio like Laika that is not afraid to make risky family films. Like Coraline is almost 20 years old and it still impacts me. Then you have a movie like Moana that is almost 10 years old and feels more forgettable in comparison not that it&apos;s bad it can be enjoyable but it doesn&apos;t feel as powerful in comparison.

  Laika is what Pixar used to be. I can&apos;t wait to see Wildwood. It&apos;s a shame more people don&apos;t support these films.
