Breaking: The Judge has ruled option #1. Paramount will officially own WB and David Ellison plans to fully close the deal next week. They will not be paying ticking fees. Scooby-Doo and Scream are now going to be owned by the same studio.

Bloys in charge of Trek then? If he is a fan that's awesome. HBO do great stuff

WAIT, I thought this wasn’t going to happen according to Campea months ago?! He was going to put big money on this merger not happening? Just like Disney and Fox, it’s happening. Everything else was a circus show to distract from the inevitable!

Good luck to him and he's gonna need it. Mega mergers rarely work out well. Just ask discovery or at&t how that went for them. Netflix and disney are streets ahead of these guys, and that "mountain of debt" is gonna make it infinitely harder to compete.

Overall it is a good decision but the question is what are the terms for the contract and how much debt they might be adding to the large debt they already have.

What is this report I am seeing that Ynon Kreiz of Mattel will be Co-CEO with Ellison over the merged company then. Is that a different job or is Casey just the new head of the merged studio
