  Lots of folks asked how we found cheap land — so we made this short video explaining one of the key steps: tax sales. It’s not for everyone, but for those asking, this is how we got started.<br>That said, if you&apos;re here for the off-grid bush work, machines grinding through snow, and northern hardship — hang tight. The next video is coming soon, and it&apos;s a whole different thing. Longer format, more story, closer to real time.<br>Skip this one if it&apos;s not your thing. We&apos;ll see you back in the bush in a couple days.<br><br>We didn&apos;t include it in the video (because we decided to go brief) but there is a way to get more info from google earth pro. &nbsp;Note that in the bottom right of the Onland map is a geo reference tag according to where your mouse is. &nbsp;If you print screen while holding your mouse in position you can paste the picture into free GPT and ask it to convert it into google maps/earth reference. &nbsp;That lat/long can be pasted into google earth to drop a pin. &nbsp;Google earth is a great resource to check elevation, historical images etc. &nbsp;Always explore properties like this if you are interested in bidding on something.

  If you have a helicopter, you can have the whole frozen wasteland. People don&apos;t understand the word &apos;remote&apos; until they fly over Canada for a few hours.

  Most of those properties after trying to play with them and realizing it&apos;s just a headache new owners will put back on sale. Obviously all the usable properties don&apos;t go that cheap. <br>But hey, if have some extra bucks why don&apos;t have such piece of land &nbsp;and visit it couple times in your life.<br>And by the way, the guy forgot to mention that OTS monthly membership is $35 bucks (annual $159.95) and infopak for the property &nbsp;for non-members is $25 bucks.

  Only 70 miles to the nearest cross road and 320 miles to a truck stop and 379 miles to small town of 1300 for $2900 is expensive
