  Ronald R. Got shot in an assassination attempt and his next speech someone popped a balloon scaring everyone that he was getting shot at again and he, not even flinching, said “Missed me!” And then continued with his speech. Certified badass.

He was SO popular he got his Vice President and later his Vice President&apos;s son elected president in 12 of the 20 years after him even though nobody really liked or trusted them, almost solely because people were hoping that they would do some of the same things he did. He was SO popular that the next time the other political part one the Whitehouse ot was because they nominated a moderate who adopted most of Reagan&apos;s policies and basically ran against Reagan&apos;s own former VP in a Ronald Reagan impersonation contest to see who would be president.
