  Thanks Polly, I started a year ago and Ive gone from complete beginner to having some decent skills and doing 15 mile street skates. Practice and a good coach (YOU) <br>are what it takes, thanks so much for taking me on this journey !

  You are a most excellent coach my dear. &nbsp;I used to rollerblade all over NYC when I was your age. &nbsp;Many years later, I am in California and will be going to the roller rink to skate for the first time in two and a half decades. &nbsp;With any luck, I won&apos;t end up in the ER! &nbsp; Hahahahaha!

  It doesn&apos;t matter how long you have been skating. Continuous training is key to bettering your skills. Many times I feel too comfortable and I tend to screw up. So then I rewind and take it back to the basics like starting all over again!

  As an beginner in my 40s your videos have been really helpful. My first time skating I had my left foot glued to the floor and was paddling with my right foot. Your duck walk instructions set me on the right path. It took me a while to find my balance though, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OfhsH3L9Py8&amp;t=67">1:07</a> is exactly how I looked hunched over because anything else I was doing felt like I could fall over backwards. Thank you Coach Polly
