  Lake Mead is nowhere near the US-Mexico border. In fact it&apos;s hundreds of miles away. It&apos;s along the Arizona and Nevada border

  Why would you say that Ft. Huachuca was an active military post from 1877 to 2010? &nbsp; While it was temporarily a few times in the 1940&apos;s and 1950&apos;s, it is still an active military base to this day. &nbsp;Also, Tombstone is far from a ghost town. &nbsp;It has a current permanent population of over 1,000 people, which is pretty decent for Arizona.

  1) Sa-war-ohs. Don’t say the G.<br>2) The Colorado Plateau is not home to the Sky Islands. Those exist in the Basin and Range region (keyword being range), the concept being that these “islands” extend up from the desert floor, isolated from other peaks.<br>3) Mount Graham is not the only peak in southern AZ with alpine forest. Mount Lemmon, Miller Peak, Mount Wrightson, and Chiricahua Peak all exceeding 9,000 ft and have plentiful alpine forests.

  I grew up in AZ and am 65 now. Just wanted to clarify we never called dust storm Haboos. Never heard the term until about three years ago when someone from out of state called it that. I think someone was/is trying to make it a thing but it isn&apos;t. The only ones who calls them that are local newscasters. None of the locals do.<br>Been to most of the tourist places in AZ. But there are many more that only locals who get off the beaten path know about and I&apos;m not talking. When become general knowledge they get ruined by crowds.

  Jaguars are almost extinct from the US, but southern AZ has the largest jaguar population in the US

  @<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OblqdALs_LI&amp;t=1940">32:20</a> you show a picture of the Queen Creek Tunnel inferring that it is part of Route 66. The Queen Creek Tunnel is on US 60, not US 66 just outside of Superior AZ, 120 miles south of Route 66. Time to go back to map school.

  In the spring the desert blooms magnificently. We loved taking a drive to see all the purple, red, yellow and green.

  Been living in AZ for over 30 years and have been to most of these places. &nbsp;The Lava tubes are really neat. &nbsp;Love Arizona, never leaving. &nbsp;It was 118 degrees a week ago.
