I responded from Canada/across from Detroit Michigan with an EMS service I worked with back in 2001. We responded and arrived there about 15 hrs after the collapse. We worked the pile for the first 5 days doing recovery of victims and transported them to a secondary morgue staging area.<br> Listening to this story brings back a lot of emotional memories I buried away in the depths of my brain. The things he describes is just hard to comprehend the scale of this attack unless you were there, the smell, glass, dust from obliterated insulation and drywall coating everything, papers blowing everywhere, fires underground the pile with a steady smell that you just can't describe. Back then United we stand was a thing with Canada and the USA. Oddly enough this is the type of thing it takes to bring nations together.

Hey Mike, first time I’ve come across your channel and it was a great interview for the fact that you patiently listened and allowed your guest to speak without interrupting, it’s a very undervalued skill and incredibly difficult for most people to master. Secondly, your questions were relevant and demonstrate that you researched the topic prior to the interview. Well done.

I fondly recall Darin from his JTTF days. I was NYPD and on CT-4 (Af/Pak Squad) he was on the sqd he described. I had friends on his squad and would sometimes have conversations with him. Solid dude and glad he's doing well.
