I was 16 when attack of the clones released and never had a single problem with Hayden's performance. Skipped school with friends to go see episode 2.
🤘😭

I was already in my 40’s when the prequels came out, old enough to recognize garbage. To my mind, there was none. I loved all three prequels even more than the originals. Baby Ani exhibited the sweetness that drew everyone to the older Anakin. I’ll never forget the shock and horror I felt when the Anakin I had grown to respect and love was de-limbed and rolled down the lava.

Jake Lloyd and Hayden Christensen were perfect for their roles. I saw a video of an older Jake Lloyd defending Jar Jar Binks and the actor who played him. Even there, Jake exuded the same sweetness of character he demonstrated as Ani when he was younger.

Hayden, for his part, has never taken credit for the character he brought to life. He gives all credit to George Lucas and his vision. Hayden has always been humble and generous of spirit.

Hayden is the RIGHT actor for the role of Anakin. He was chosen by Lucas, and that means a lot. Unlike Disney, Lucas has an "accurate eye" for choosing actors. The problem for Hayden is that the role of Anakin is so "his" that after it everyone associates him with this character. This is an ICONIC role. This is HIS role. The role of his life. The role that suits him 200%. It was brilliantly performed. And those who criticized him for it do not understand anything and are influenced by paid "critics". Critics who FOLLOW ORDERS. Brilliant Lucas!

Both Hayden and Natalie did a great job and it wasn't easy. Great editing, by the way.

I met him in Japan a few months ago. He said Tokyo is his favorite city and I had a very nice minute talking with him! When I told him I have been a fan for 20 years, he said “really!?”
