Technically, the weather machine wasn’t designed to bring about the storm. The villain created it to stop the waves (to make the surfers go away) and to increase the humidity (to cause the biker’s bikes to rust, forcing them away).

Why did she skip "Like Me"? Mack singing "Don't dress for him, it's better when you dress for you" is one of the best lines Disney has.

So I will say, in defense of some of Mack's singing... The actress is actually Australian. So she is using an American accent and also singing in an American accent very intentionally, which makes some of her vowels not the best and also makes her talk a bit more breathy. I think its affecting her singing, too.

I use the line "I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you" with my students all the time

I genuinely forgot there was an actual plot to this movie. I thought it was just people singing on a beach, and it used to be one of my favorites.

Hannah calling Ross's character rusty instead of the actual name is like reading a book and pronouncing the character's name wrong but when you discover the actual way of saying the name it's impossible to switch😅😜

Edit: mom I'm famous 🙈🥰🦋

Hold on, Hannah, you cannot react to this movie and not include your reaction to the best song “Like Me” 😭

Teen Beach Movie is definitely one of the best Disney channel movies. So many of my friends who were born in the 2000s and literally haven’t even watched this movie in years quote it every once in a while, especially Teen Beach Movie 2. What a childhood classic

Also, yes the doctor lighthouse guy played the butler named Burtrem(idk how to spell) on Jessie

simple explanation for why the "real life" people burst into song at the end: they planned a flash dance mob and they just really love "Wet Side Story"

 teen beach movie theory:

The grandpa is from the movie.

He is actually in the movie as one of the surfers but had to leave the beach the same way as rusty and mac lady had to.

and the reason he loves wet set whatever movie so much is because he gets to see his old friends whenever he watches it again.

pretty sad but also really cute

Really sad It didn’t show her reacting to “like me” as it’s one of my fave songs from the movie 😭😭 but otherwise, such a funny reaction 😂. Also, I saw other people mentioning in the comments, but you should definitely react Rags and Let it Shine! Such great movies with great songs!
