My fastest sale was a military academy stamp. I was sick in bed listing and eBay even recommended I sell it for like $550. I figured it was a mistake, I stupidly listed it for like 9.99 and like 2 seconds later I knew eBay was completely correct. It just about killed me to sell that stamp for that price. I still think about it and that was like 15 years ago. Do your research!!

i just started my reselling journey a week ago. I have been thrifting my entire life, pass up on so much stuff I could easily flip. I always make sure to check every single inch of a store before i leave. You have no idea what's hiding in the empty aisles.

20 years ago, I found a vintage baseball pin "I'm rootin' for Jackie Robinson pin" while cleaning out my aunt's house. Back in those days, it was hard to find comps so I kept it for about 8 years. Then decided to list it. Fortunately, I nice man messaged me saying people will offer me very little money but that the pin was worth $650.00. He wasn't interested in buying was just being a nice person. He was right, I got immediate offers (it might have been an auction) and it sold for $625. quickly.

The item I consistently sell the quickest is Texas Instruments graphing calculators when I can find them. I rarely have one available longer than a few days.

Not sure why you never showed up in my feed before but I literally laughed out loud over the probe I was not expecting that 😂

I’m a newbie (2 months). My biggest sale came from my son’s LEGO Star Wars minifigs. Sold a “lot” for $300. I can’t imagine selling just ONE for that kind of money 😳👏🏼. It was a LOT of work. I had to match up heads, torsos, legs, accessories. It was insane! I have 2,000 to 3,000 Hot Wheels/Matchbox cars (not exaggerating) that I had to go through. Didn’t find any gems though 😞. I still have a lot of my own stuff to sell. So, I agree that people should start there.

Gold and silver foil flakes in lucite was a fancy thing in the day. They made lucite fake candles like that too.

My two fastest selling things were both Ralph Lauren. One was a cap I put up for $100 which sold instantly and within a minute I had people messaging me they would pay $250. <br>The other was a T-shirt with a horse graphic that I put up for $20 which must have sold inside 15 seconds(I definitely messed up on that price, but I was very new to reselling)

Yes, bedsheets... I found 2 sets of Pottery Barn 100% cotton bedsheets for $7.99/ set. Peanuts Halloween, very cute. They looked like they had been washed maybe twice. They were so cute I wanted to sew them in to pajamas for myself, but then I looked them up and used sets were about $90, new sets were over $100. I sold both sets within the week for $80 each. So I'll be looking for other 100% cotton sheets to make pj's.
