  I read that les demoiselles Tatin really were two elderly ladies. One of them made an apple tarte, carefully arranging the apples in the pan, adding the sugar, lemon juice and butter, then suddenly realized she forgot the crust. Well,  not wanting to waste time, she put the crust on top, put the pan on the fire (she knew the apples wouldn't cook enough in the time it took to cook a top crust). Well the sugar caramelized, she put it in the oven then inverted the tarte onto a plate. A true genius!

  Awe ..... to see Claudine all grown up and have her daughter on her dads show is just so precious.  I remember when Claudine was little and was an occasional guest.  Where does the time go?

  I like when he cooks with Claudine. You can see that she grew up comfortable in a kitchen, working quickly and efficiently to keep up with her dad. Plus she often asks really good questions.<br><br>(I do realize there&apos;s a bit of a script. Let me have this 😀)

  His daughter is gorgeous she&apos;s just nervous around him probably...he&apos;s a perfectionist most french chefs are...I remember watching her when she was younger on his earlier shows..

  This episode just warmed my heart. It reminded me when my Grandpa and I would cook together, or draw or pick flowers. Family memories like that are so awesome. I hope she grows up to cherish the time she has with him!
