It wasn't 'the crowd' that hated them, it was the boyfriends!! Jealousy

'Reaching out for something, but touching nothing's all I ever do' has to be one of the best lines ever written for a song

Man, I love Sweet. Between Sweet, T-Rex and Bowie, I was totally a glam girl until I became a punk. “Teenage Rampage,” “Fox On the Run,” “Little Willy” and “Love Is Like Oxygen” would all be great to react to.

So glad you're delving into glam rock. It was a classic era when, as one glam rocker put it - men were men, but real men wore glitter and eyeliner 😉

This band did not get the recognition it should have. They had nothing but bangers! The singing and playing was outstanding! Love Sweet!!❤

🇬🇧 Sweet were my favourite group back in the 70s, (when I was a teen). They have other bangers too.... "Blockbuster" "Fox On The Run" "Little Willie" "Wig Wam Bam" "Love Is Like Oxygen".... Enjoy.👌🎼🎵

I think they're colors also were a factor of the fact that this was the era where color was still new to TV. They were coming out of the black and white era.

Gonna see them in a few months here in Germany. I saw them five times. Andy Scott, the only living member of the original band, is rocking like hell again and again. Can't wait to see them again with Fox On The Run, Love I Like Oxygen and Teenage Rampage.
