You tend to keep circulating around the same cluster of questions... self, no-self, doer, separation, concepts, reality. It reminds me very much of the “refining the view” stage in Buddhist practice.<br><br>The difference is that, in a systematic approach, these questions are usually examined very carefully until there is some clarity, and then that understanding is increasingly integrated into practice. Here, the same basic questions seem to be reopened again and again... over many years. <br><br>And I’m not sure the central issue has actually been settled. In particular, you still seem to move back and forth between ultimate analysis, where no inherently existing person or doer can be found and conventional reality, where persons still exist, act, suffer, make choices and relate to one another. <br><br>I’m genuinely curious why that distinction remains so difficult to reconcile in these conversations. Is there something about accepting conventional personhood that feels incompatible with the nondual insight you’re trying to articulate?
