  I have seen that happen countless times in Thailand were he goes inside a hotel room with 2 or 3 ladyboys. At first sight I was like WTF but after that it got pretty normal seeing that all the time.

  The big vacant area next to the Chinese Temple is where the Downtown Inn stood. This is the place you referred to as the “Death Hotel”.<br>That hotel was part of the Empress Group.<br>This Group now consists of the 2 Empress Hotels exit to each other and the Park Hotel.<br>President Jimmy Carter stayed at the Park when he came to CM to build homes for the Habitat For the Humanities.<br>I had heard upon leaving the hotel he did not leave a tip for the staff.

  Hi Bill, that story about Lek&apos;s hair braiding on Khaosan road is exactly what happed to my daughter. &nbsp;We were on Khaosan about six years ago and my then 25 year old daughter got her hair braided. ...... and within hours she was pulling it all apart again form the pain 😀

  Love the old hotel. The architecture and facade on outside of the old Thai buildings is unique and interesting to my western eyes. I also notice a lot of &nbsp;older thai buildings lack paint maintenance. Maybe paint is expensive? Maybe all the pollution just wears and dirties it faster?

  We were in Chiang Mai in December for 1 week and both my wife and I kept looking for you, hoping we would run into you. This morning my wife was watching this video and listening to the bird we heard while there and remembering the good times we had. We are hopeful to go back again in December and maybe you will be OK for a cup of coffee together.
