  Europe disbanded in 92, and reunited in 03 and they still are together. They made album after album after album. Their new album is released this month.

  For YEARS I loved this song, so much, but didn’t really understand why I loved it so much as it’s a bit of a “cheesy” pop-rock song and I’m more of a metal guy… then during COVID a bunch of my friends and I were in a Zoom call drinking and playing games to pass the boredom and one game we played was “who had the worst UK number 1 song when you were born?” - sure as shit, The Final Countdown was the UK number 1 on the day I was born back in 1986 and subsequently speaking to my parents, they had the radio on all the time, being the number 1 single it got a lot of airplay and stayed in the Top 40 for a while after and I have a gut feeling that’s why I love this song so much - it was constantly played when I was born
