  65 were made. They came with gold paint, mini lite alloys, radio cassette, deep pile carpet, leather interior &nbsp;and radio/cassette.<br>Each one also came with a gold plaque with the production number on and the original owners name. Mine was 41 of 65.

  My late Dad was born in 1911 and back in the 70&apos;s he only had a motorbike licence, plus he was on a pension, so money was really tight (I&apos;m nearly 61 now)...A 1969 (G reg) Reliant Regal Supervan III was the only car he could afford. &nbsp;<br>We were a family of six (I have 2 sisters and a brother) and we all went on holiday to Scotland and back in it, sitting on cushions in the back (there was no back seat as it was the van version) at least 6 times, as well as to &nbsp;cornwall and N. Wales among other places, and we used to tow a large fold-out trailer tent behind it which we slept in at night. &nbsp; It only had the 750cc engine but with all five of us in it and no trailer on the back we could get it up to 80mph no problem. &nbsp;<br>We had a few accidents in it, where my Dad over reacted when getting cut up at roundabouts and it would roll on it&apos;s side but it was so light that we could easily right it again and get back on our way. &nbsp;<br>I still rembember the strong smell of Expoxy resin, which eminated from it...Happy days. <br>It sat in a garage for years and I sold it in the 2010&apos;s to a big fan of Only Fools and Horses for £500.
