  Am I the only one who felt like this documentary was made years ago? Channels like Vox, Veritasium, and others do such an amazing job with storytelling, music, and production quality that this documentary felt dated in comparison.

  We are not a multi planet species and we never will be, other than through robotics.  What makes human beings think we can outsmart the Universe?  It has taken hundreds of thousands of years for evolution to design us for this planet.  The first manned mission, (and the last), to Mars will prove this.  The genetic/physical toll will quickly change minds once they are actually realized.  We do not have the technology or resources to negate the effects of stellar radiation in our own solar system, let alone the inter-stellar radiation that is far worse.  Our bodies are also designed for a specific gravity, which would raise more health/genetic issues.  The Universe is a vast and wonderful thing, but it is designed to physically kill us.  Robotics would be far less expensive as there would be no need for the logistical nightmare of human life support, or the probable cost of human life.  Some very great strides have been achieved in the robotic field, and are increasing almost daily.  What good is a manned mission if the human beings are dead on arrival?  Buck Rogers, Capt. Kirk, and Luke Skywalker are great science fiction, but are not real life.
